Mozilla, the leader in open source software, may release on October 14th Firefox 3.6 public beta, codenamed 'Nomoroka', with promises for faster startups and page rendering as well as reduced loading time.
Although all Mozilla daily builds -- even the "private" alphas -- are publicly downloadable, the public may be formally invited to render its opinions on version 3.6 on Wednesday, October 14. That's the decision made during a Mozilla planning meeting Monday,Scott Fulton III reports at Betanews.
The current stable version is Firefox 3.5.3 but public betas of Firefox 3.5.4 may also be released also on the same day, October 14. The full version of Firefox 3.6 doesn't have a final release date yet.
Update: Firefox 3.6 Beta is now set to launch October 21.
