In a newsletter delivered today via email, Ning, an online service to create, customize, and share a social network, announces the launch of Ning Apps.
Ning Apps allow users to mix and match features to create a fully customized Ning Network and make it more flexible than ever.
Among others, Ning Apps include:
- Add Wordpress - Display your Wordpress posts in your Ning network.
- Add Ustream.tv - Add interactive video streaming and chat services.
- Add Sellit - Import an existing store or create a new one to generate revenue.
Currently, more than 90 Ning Apps are available at Ning. According to The Ning Team, "this number will continue to grow as developers at Ning and around the world build additional Ning Apps tailored around your interests and passions."I am an administrator of two networks at Ning which have more than 3,000 members and growing. The new Ning Apps feature is definitely a welcome development.
