H1N1 Vaccine out

In an article posted Friday via its newsroom, Novartis, a Swiss pharmaceuticals company, announced that it has successfully produced the first batch of H1N1 "Swine Flu" vaccine.

Just a day after the World Health Organization (WHO) raised the pandemic alert from level 5 to 6, Novartis posted the announcement seen by many, at least, as a relief to the growing fear for the Swine Flu Virus that has spread globally.

Novartis is currently using the wild type virus strain for the said vaccine first produced but claims it is on its way of completing manufacture of the first batch of vaccines using the reassortant seed, a modified type of virus provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last month.

The price value of the H1N1 Vaccine was not disclosed yet. But rest assured, we will keep you updated of the developments.
