Classic

Ha, betcha almost everybody knows how to do these:
  • Open Firefox.
  • In the address bar, type "about:config" (w/o the quotes).
  • The configuration page will appear.
  • In the filter bar, type "network.http".
  • Double-click the entry and set the following as stated:
    • network.http.max-connections ... 32
    • network.http.max-connections-per-server ... 20
    • network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy ... 20
    • network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server ... 8
    • network.http.pipelining ... true
    • network.http.pipelining.maxrequests ... 8
    • network.http.proxy.pipelining ... true
New?

For some, these settings are new:
  • In the filter bar, type "delay".
    • Double-click the entries with "delay" and set them to zero (0).
  • Go back to the filter bar and clear it.
    • Now type "timeout".
    • Set accessibility to "false".
    • All the rest of the entries with "timeout" must be set to zero (0).
  • Close Firefox.
  • The next time you open it, it'll be faster, same with Youtube.
