How to Optimize ESET Nod32

ESET Nod32 is the best Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware I have ever used.

Hey! I was never paid a single centavo by the makers, but I truly, sincerely, wholeheartedly...ahhh whatever adjective you'd like to use... I love this security software for the following reasons:

1. It uses just a little above 30 MB of system resources;
2. Updates virus and program databases right on schedule;
3. No annoying notifications, just notices when the database is updated or a malware has been deleted or quarantined;
4. It is user-friendly, no hassle at all from installation to operation;
5. Does not lag my online games;
6. And last but not the least, more than 98% of virii and spyware were detected and terminated, in other words, it is very very effective.
Although the program was designed to suit the needs of majority of average computer users, we can try to be a little more advanced. There are some more ways to improve Nod32, just follow these steps to optimize it:

1. Download ESET Nod32.
2. Install and run.
3. Go to 'Setup' and click 'Toggle Advanced Mode', click 'Yes' when a reminder pops up.
4. When you click 'Enter entire advanced setup tree...', it will open the advanced program settings.
5. Find and click 'Update' then select 'Choose automatically' in the Update server dropdown box.
6. Now, find 'User interface' in the left pane and click it.
7. In the 'User interface elements' options, uncheck 'Show splash-screen at startup'.
8. Uncheck everything in the 'Effects' options.
9. In 'Alerts and notifications' section, check the 'Close messageboxes automatically after (sec.) and put 10 as its value.
10. Also check 'Display notifications in taskbar (for secs.), and put also 10 as its value.
11. Check all the other boxes except the 'Display only notifications requiring user intervention' box.
12. Just click 'OK' and then close. There's no need to restart the program.

That's it!

Enjoy the benefits of the best AV/AS so far.
