WATCH: Muslims express anger against De Lima, Trillanes, Matobato

Muslims in Lanao del Sur burned the images of Senators Leila De Lima and Antonio Trillanes and their witness Edgar Matobato to express anger.

They held a rally in Marawi City last Thursday, September 22, to condemn the two lawmakers and the self-confessed hired killer who linked then city mayor Rodrigo Duterte to the Davao Death Squad at the Senate investigation on the alleged extra-judicial killings.

A video of the street protest was uploaded by the Facebook page of the local radio program Target On Air. In it, a group composed mostly of Maranaos are seen setting on fire tarpaulins with photos of De Lima, Trillanes and Matobato.

According to the news outlet, the muslim leaders and their members said they hate the three for trying to destroy the country's image abroad.

The Maranao group, however, vowed to support President Duterte and the administration's war against illegal drugs.

As of 10:15 a.m. today, the video amassed over 600,000 views after it became viral.
