Till upgrade do us part: Man marries his smartphone in Vegas

To prove "how precious phones have become in our lives," a man married his smartphone in a bizzare wedding ceremony in Vegas recently.

The 34-year-old Los Angeles resident, Aaron Chervenak, wed his cellphone at The Little Vegas Chapel late last month. The one-of-a-kind nuptials was attended by a very limited number of guests.

Since it was impossible to exchange wedding rings, Aaron just grabbed the smartphone and placed his finger inside a ring attached to its white leather case. There was no kissing of the bride too, but he was happy to have 'tied the knot' with the smartphone he "loves so much."

"If we're gonna be honest with ourselves, we connect with our phones on so many emotional levels. We look to it for solace, to calm us down, to put us to sleep, to ease our minds, and to me, that's also what a relationship is about," Aaron said in a video that documented the odd union.

"So in a sense my smartphone has been my longest relationship that's why I decided to see what it was like to actually marry a phone," he added.

The marriage was not legally binding, which means it was not recognized under the laws of the state of Nevada. In spite of this fact, a spokesperson from The Little Vegas Chapel said they are willing to "renew their vows when the new model comes out."
