Critics blame Duterte for Ateneo teacher Emmanuel Pavia's death

Critics of the administration blamed the death of Ateneo de Manila High School teacher Emmanuel Jose Pavia to President Rodrigo Duterte.

Netizen Ed commented on The Filipino Scribe, "killings will breed to more killings...this president is insane!"

Facebook user Roy posted, "anybody could kill anybody in the philippines ... in guise of duterte's ongoing salvaging operations ... it is open season for killing in our motherland ... ENJOY YOUR ELECTORAL CHOICE STUPID FOOLS !!!"

Duterte's critics expessed their sentiments after Pavia was shot dead Monday night in Barangay Barangka, Marikina City.

According to ABS-CBN News, the victim was killed by an unidentified gunman. A witness reportedly heard three gunshots past 7 p.m. on July 18 from his home on Dela Costa Street.

Authorities reportedly said Pavia sustained two gunshot wounds on the head. The Ateneo teacher was rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival, according to the report.

Twitter user Iversen urged everyone to not assume that Pavia's death was "drug/extra judicial killing related" while a certain Arleen believes that it "must be a bad case of mistaken identity."

The death of Ateneo teacher Emmanuel Pavia became a trending topic nationwide Tuesday.
