WATCH: Lenovo's flexible smartphone bends into a smartwatch

Lenovo has unveiled a flexible smartphone that bends into a bracelet and can be worn like a smartwatch. Here's a video featuring the device.

Technology news website 9to5Google reported that Lenovo also showed off a tablet that folds in half and converts into a phone at the Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco.

Besides the flexible screen, the smartphone's battery and motherboard among other parts bend and can fold back into its original form.

The wearable smartphone has a rubber frame inside to provide support. Although it is narrow, a large bulge can be seen at the bottom which is believed to house components that do not bend, the report said.

Lenovo's prototypes are running Android. There are no details as to when the devices will be available in the market.
