LOOK: Duterte's son, Baste, gets starstruck with Miriam

Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, son of presidential front-runner Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, got starstruck with Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago.

The two had a chance to rub elbows at the airport hours before the third and final Pili Pinas 2016 Presidential Debate to be held at the Phinma University of Pangasinan on Sunday, April 24.

Using his Facebook account, Baste posted a picture of him and Miriam, one of his father's rivals in the race for the presidency. The younger Duterte has these to say:

"Hello Senator MDS. I feel so lucky that i had the chance to have a picture with you. To my surprise, you even went over to me when my friend asked for a photo.

I was so captivated by your presence that I did not know what to do. When you grabbed my arm during the picture, my heart just smiled. Memories flashed in my mind of you reprimanding someone in a senate hearing.

You are sweet and inspiring. I never easily get starstrucked [sic] but you had me at mere sight. I truly admire you because I believe that you are a real contributor to our country. We are hours away from the debate and I wish you all the best.

P.S. Bring the best out of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, give him the fight of a lifetime!

-Love Baste"

Baste Duterte showed a lot of respect for Miriam which the lady senator is worthy of.
