Canadian's P49K wedding ring for Filipina fiancee 'stolen at NAIA'

A Canadian national lost a wedding ring worth P49,000 for his Filipina fiancée, who alleged that it was stolen by NAIA Terminal 3 employees.

In her Facebook post, Rowena Dalere Padilla said they were bound for Isabela to meet her family when the incident happened at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last March 29, 2016.

She said her Canadian fiancé was wondering why it took 3 to 4 minutes before their luggage came out of the x-ray scanner. Upon reaching home, her future husband checked their baggage and found out that her P49K wedding ring was missing.

Padilla burst in anger and cursed the NAIA Terminal 3 employees using her social media account. Her Facebook post was shared more than 11,800 times as of 4:50 p.m. on April 13.

NAIA management has yet to give a word on the incident.
