Wrong photo used in viral post calling justice for rape-slay victim

A photo of a woman who is still alive was used in a viral post calling justice for Yannie Villaroman, said to be a rape-slay victim in Bulacan.

Apple Louchel Clamor, who works and lives in the US, complained on Facebook that her photo circulated on social media for the wrong reason after a certain Mac's Yow used it in what appears to be a poster with the words "Justice for Yannie Villaroman."

Yow said in his caption that the dead body of the victim, who was allegedly raped and murdered in Barangay Borol 1st in the town of Balagtas, Bulacan, was found at 6 a.m. on March 8, 2016.

However, another Facebook post showed that the incident reportedly happened on March 8, 2014.

"Why do you have to use my picture? For what reason?" Clamor asked. Her mother, Luz, commented on a Facebook page urging the admin to delete the poster because her daughter is still alive.

Both of them are now facing the predicament of reporting users and pages one by one as the poster was spreading like wildfire.
