Maria Jocelyn "Baby" Arquillano, a 53-year-old teacher at Consuelo National High School in San Francisco town, and members of her family were arrested by members of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) at 12 midnight on Monday, January 11.

Her husband identified as Diosdado "Dodi" Arquillano, 54, the main subject of the operation, is a known bigtime drug pusher in the entire island, Sun.Star Superbalita Cebu reported.

Their children—Richard, 30, a seaman; Kye, 28; and Richard Jean, 25—were apparently caught in the act repacking illegal drugs.

SPO2 Reynaldo Solante, team leader of the operation, told the news team they long received information regarding the Arquillano family's illegal activity.

After completing their surveillance for two weeks, he said they conducted a buy bust operation then carried out the search warrant issued by Danao City regional trial court Judge Jerry Dicdican.

The seized drugs weighed 177 grams estimated to be worth more or less P2 million based on Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value.

Authorities also got from the family's possession a KG-9 sub-machine pistol, a .45 caliber handgun, bullets, money remittance receipts, 4 digital weighing scales and etc., according to the report.

Dodi, the teacher's better half, earns P1 million per week in dealing shabu, Solante reportedly added.
