Coleen Garcia admits she's no longer part of 'Showtime'

Coleen Garcia is no longer part of ABS-CBN's noontime variety show "It's Showtime." The actress has admitted it and revealed the reason why.

She will not be returning on the show soon as she will be prioritizing her acting career this year.

In an interview, the 23-year-old Kapamilya star explained that her focus for 2016 will be on her upcoming film with Piolo Pascual and Dawn Zulueta, as well as the ongoing drama "Pasion de Amor."

"Actually, I was barely ever there during the entire second half of 2015," said Garcia, who started co-hosting the noontime program three years ago. "I don't think I'll be returning. Management talked to me and they want me to focus on acting."

In her new movie, Coleen will be portraying a young socialite who has an "unlabeled" relationship with Pascual's character.

"Iyong characters namin ay within the lifestyle today. I'm a socialite, while Piolo is a DJ. He's really going to learn how to spin. Zulueta is a fashion designer so somehow our characters will cross paths," the actress shared.

Coleen's fans expressed their dismay on Twitter and Facebook saying "It's Showtime" will "never be the same" without her. The actress became a trending topic on social media Tuesday night.
