One of the network's production unit, Dreamscape Entertainment, confirmed the news through a series of Instagram posts which revealed that the 21-year-old actor-rapper officially signed a contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday, November 26.

ABS-CBN executives Cory Vidanes and Carlo Katigbak, director Lauren Dyogi, and his mother Pia were present.

During a press conference after the contract-signing, Elmo denied rumors that he made the big switch because he felt neglected by GMA-7. The actor said he just wanted to grow as an artist and try something new.

His contract with the Kapuso station ended sometime between mid-August to early September. At ABS-CBN, he will be co-managed by Star Magic and his mom.

Elmo's first project is an upcoming television series where he's teamed up for the first time with Janella Salvador. The teleserye, titled "Born For You," is scheduled to be released in early 2016.
