Woman parties at disco bar, gets gang-raped by 3 men

A young woman who partied at a dicso bar in Cebu was allegedly raped by three men after she was followed in the comfort room and taken away.

A report aired Wednesday on 24 Oras says the incident happened Sunday night, October 4.

According to the victim, she and some cousins and friends went inside one of the clubs along General Maxilom Avenue located in the uptown area.

She lost consciousness after one of the suspects allegedly followed her in the restroom and punched her in the abdomen.

The victim woke up in a boarding house with three men beside her, taking turns in sexually abusing her.

Chief Inspector David Señor, the outgoing acting chief of the Fuente Police Station, told The Freeman that the alleged gang rape took place outside one of the suspect's room. After which the victim was brought out of the compound.

After the woman went to the police station to report, a hot-pursuit operation was immediately conducted and led to the arrest of 48-year-old Peter Bendanillo, caretaker of the boarding house. He was positively identified by the victim but denied the allegations.

Bendanillo, however, named one of the suspects as a certain Dumpe and claimed that the latter called him and admitted the crime after bringing the woman inside the boarding house.

The second suspect, described in the report as a hotel and restaurant management student and basketball player, was not in the area when police arrived. The woman failed to identify the third suspect.

A rape case was already filed Tuesday afternoon, Señor reportedly said.
