'Columnist' expresses disgust over network's unfair practice

The raging war between two network giants has come to a boil once again, fuelled this time by online sensations and noontime shows.

The country's broadcast behemoths, ABS-CBN and GMA, are trying to outdo each other in order to get the attention and patronage of majority of Filipino televiewers.

With the phenomenal rise of the new GMA loveteam "AlDub," short for the pair's names Alden Richards and Yaya Dub, some netizens have turned to social media to come up with "conspiracy theories."

One netizen has reposted a lengthy Facebook rant which allegedly comes from a columnist and how he/she cannot stomach the dirty games being played in order for one company to outdo the other.

The alleged columnist expressed disgust towards the unfair practice and has admitted to being paid in order to push the publicity of ABS-CBN and its shows.

ABS-CBN has countered the "AlDub" phenomenon with their acquisition of "Pastillas Girl" (a move that the netizen described as desperate) for their noontime show "It's Showtime," which goes head-to-head with GMA's long-running noontime show "Eat Bulaga" where Yaya Dub is featured on the segment "Juan for All. All for Juan".

Pastillas Girl and Yaya Dub both shot to stardom via their videos on social media, specifically Youtube and Dubsmash.

How long will this network war rage? Will more revelations surface? Will conspiracy theories continue to swell?
