'Pacargo Boys' hit Bureau of Customs in viral video

The online sensation "Pabebe Girls" finally got their male counterpart, the "Pacargo Boys," a group of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

But unlike the "Pabebe Girls," the "Pacargo Boys" are not annoying. They are funny yet no nonsense.

In a video that went viral over the weekend, the group aired their concerns regarding the Bureau of Customs' handling of balikbayan boxes sent by OFWs to their loved ones in the Philippines.

The "Pacargo Boys," led by stand-up comedian Patricia Dumbo, called the BoC employees "patay-gutom" and "magnanakaw" to express disgust over an issue that has put said government agency in hot water.

Here's the "Pacargo Boys" in the video that got over 82,000 views on Facebook in just nine hours:

And here's a longer version:

On Sunday, a MalacaƱang official assured OFWs that their concerns about the balikbayan boxes would be brought to the attention of the President, including concerns that the BOC might be infringing on their tax and duty free privileges.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte, however, defended the BOC saying that the new process in handling balikbayan boxes serves merely as a deterrent to potential smuggling cases and is not meant to single out OFWs.
