WATCH: Teen's cute face damaged after enhancement procedure

Elouie regularly joined talent search competitions when he was 16 and had a cute face until he underwent a nose and cleft chin enhancement procedure.

According to a report aired Thursday on Unang Balita, the news segment of GMA Network's daily morning program Unang Hirit, the teenager got interested to undergo facial alteration to have a prominent nose and dimpled chin.

One time, a friend introduced him to a certain Kachika, a nurse who claimed to be an "expert" in injecting collagen. The suspect allegedly gave an assurance that the procedure will not cause any infection, the report said.

After two years, however, Elouie said he had a swollen nose and chin and his face became bigger. It was found out during medical check-up that his nose and chin got infected.

According to Dr. Gil Vicente of the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, what was injected to Elouie was not pure collagen. The substance granulated and hardened inside the victim's nose and chin and eventually caused swelling and damaged his skin.

In 2014, Elouie filed a complaint against Kachika for "illegal practice of medicine." The suspect has gone into hiding.
