VIRAL: Woman warns of big earthquake in Taguig on July 30

A big earthquake caused by a US-initiated "test" will occur in Taguig on July 30, says a woman who shared terrifying details on Facebook.

In her July 2 status update, a certain Iahs Alcular, a Filipina who works and lives in Melbourne, Australia, urged her friends to leave Taguig with their families on July 29 in anticipation of the alleged test to be conducted by the US the following day.

According to her, American forces will do "something" in the West Valley Fault to prevent the big one from happening.

The information apparently came from the friend of her older sister, a Baptist, who said that the US ambassador called for a meeting to discuss the July 30 event.

Alcular said the principal of an elementary school in Taguig advised parents to not let their kids go to school that day.

"This is alarming," she posted, adding that the information may not be broadcasted as it will cause panic.

Based on her posts, Alcular sounded like she's terrified and worried about the earthquake on July 30, which coincides with the MMDA-led metrowide earthquake drill to be conducted in preparation for a possible 7.2 magnitude tremor.

Last month, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that electricity and mobile phone services would be cut throughout Metro Manila.

Private and government offices as well as business establishments and shopping malls would be closed between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to simulate the scenario of a massive quake.

Reports said the big one could kill more than 33,000 people and injure 113,600 others once the West Valley Fault moves.
