Vice Ganda declares 'Proud To Be Me' Thursday

Barely a week after he revealed his true beauty on-air, "It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda declared every Thursday as "Proud To Be Me" day.

In his regular segment "adVICE GANDA" during the noontime variety show's episode on Wednesday, the TV host-comedian vowed to remove his contact lens, hair extension and make-up every Thursday starting June 4.

His co-host and segment assistant Teddy Corpuz said he would join his advocacy, same as Kuya Kim Atienza who promised to take-off his signature hat on Thursdays.

Vice Ganda also encouraged the dancers, production staff and audience to unmask their true selves.

"Proud To Be Me Thursday," which is part of Vice Ganda's anti-bullying campaign, stemmed from what the influential TV and social media personality did when he comforted Pamela Reyes, the teenager who revealed how her schoolmates would call her ugly and humiliate her in public.
