PHOTOS: Speeding SUV hits pregnant woman in BGC

A speeding SUV has hit a pregnant woman at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) before noontime Tuesday. Photos of the crash are going viral online.

In a viral Facebook post, Squires Bingham Sports president Scott Gutsy Tuason said the sport utility vehicle with license plate number "AAL 6646" was "speeding" around the corner of 30th Street and 2nd Avenue in BGC, hit another car and ran over a pedestrian on the crosswalk.

The road mishap, the cause of which is currently unknown, happened at 11:30 a.m on May 12.

Tuason commented that the "driver climbed out without a scratch."

Photographer Jun de Leon, who said he was at St. Luke's Medical Center when the lady was brought in, broke the "sad news."

"She's in critical condition and she's pregnant!" he commented. "She's at the ICU now."

Responding to a question, De leon said the lady was crossing at the pedestrian lane and her husband was not around when she was hit.

"My 12 year old son was at the corner Starbucks when it happened," he added.

An Inquirer report identified the victim as 34-year-old Thai national Jecinta Coote, a BGC resident, and the driver as Rolando Manese, who lives in Paco, Manila.

The other car that was hit by Manese's black Toyota Fortuner was reportedly driven by Anne Alison Soriano.
