Police identified the victim as Anna Mae Evangelio, 16 years old, from Panabo City, Davao del Norte, SunStar SuperBalita reported.

Barangay Captain Oscar Bucol in an interview said he received information that Evangelio was an alleged drug user and gang member, based on the tattoos on her body.

According to the report, it was found out that the victim got pregnant and was contracted to sell her baby after 8 months.

Bucol reportedly said Evangelio was involved in a fight on Tuesday night with five people, two of whom were identified as alias "Neneng," said to be the victim's pimp, and Nelia, who allegedly helped sell the child.

Evangelio's baby was reportedly sold to an unidentified buyer for P15,000.

Bucol suspected that the victim did not commit suicide.

A police investigation is underway, according to the report.
