CSC now accepts applications for October exam

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has started to accept applications for the Career Service written examinations to be held on October 18, 2015.

In an announcement on Monday, the CSC said the application period will run from May 25 to September 3.

The examinations are open to individuals, regardless of educational attainment, who are Filipino citizens including those holding dual citizenship, at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, and have not taken the same level of examination within three months before the date of examination.

Applications should be filed in person at any CSC regional or field office where the applicant intends to take the examination.

The CSC, though, has warned that acceptance of applications may be closed at any time before September 3 once the CSC regional/field office has reached the target number of applicants.

Examination fee for both professional and sub-professional levels of the CSE-Paper and Pencil Test (PPT) is P500 only.

Applicants are advised to access the CSC website for details on testing centers, qualifications, application requirements and procedures, and other relevant information.

Last May 3, more than 180,000 took the CSE-PPT.

Passing the Civil Service Exam is one of the basic requirements in applying for a government position. It ensures that only competent and credible workers enter the public service.
