Official Superman vs. Batman trailer released; Zack Snyder tags it #NotBlurry, #NotPirated

A day ago, director Zack Snyder confirmed through his Twitter account that there will be a special IMAX screening for the new tandem superhero film.

It was scheduled for April 20, 2015 with limited seats and is RSVP, but something happened before the special screening — a blurry and pirated trailer leaked online.

After news came out that a cellphone-captured trailer of the much-awaited sequel to the Superman: Man of Steel movie circulated on the web, Snyder released the official Superman vs. Batman trailer, tagging it #NotBlurry and #NotPirated.

Not only are we treated to a high-definition quality trailer this time, this one comes out after we saw a sneak peek.

The brand new trailer, released just six hours ago, had us thinking it begins with the world having mixed reactions to what has happened in the first film. It can be recalled that the film was criticized for its over-destruction of the city, Metropolis. It could be the reason why we hear the different reasoning on the trailer snippets.

It opens with a voiceover saying: “Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?”

Another voice says, “Maybe he is just a guy trying to do the right thing” right after a woman’s voice saying that “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts, absolutely.”

Why the armed forces now kneel and bow down to the Kryptonian-born superhero and why the statue built for him is desecrated with the words “False God” is what fans should watch out for.

Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, is seen first, followed by Ben Affleck, who takes on the character Batman. Both are seen in a faceoff in the final scene wherein a menacing and eerie voice asks “Tell me. Do you bleed? You will!”

Presumably that is the Dark Knight talking, but my question is why does Affleck’s Batman sound that way? To continue where Christian Bale left off?

The Christopher Nolan-produced film is going to hit theatres on March 25, 2015.
