Woman bites tongue of would-be rapist

To prevent getting raped, a woman bit off a portion of the tongue of her would-be rapist, who had a hard time talking after the incident.

The victim is determined to sue the suspect for attempted rape.

A complaint was filed against the 52-year-old man at the prosecutor's office in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, ABS-CBN News reported.

The suspect claimed that the woman showed motive long before the incident. He admitted to have entered her house, but insisted that no rape had taken place.

The part of his tongue that got bitten off has been preserved in a jar, according to the report.

The names of the individuals involved have been kept private.

Netizens who heard the news said that while the suspect might have kissed the victim in her lips, it was good that she had presence of mind.

The part of the tongue can be used as DNA evidence against the attacker, some said.
