PAL crew accused of giving passenger boiling water

A crew member of Philippine Airlines (PAL) was accused of giving boiling water to a passenger who suffered burns when it spilled on her skin.

A certain Grace Cuico, whose Facebook profile shows that she's from Inopacan, Leyte and is currently living in Los Angeles, California, ranted that she was "fuming mad" and "upset" after learning and seeing what happened to her 10-year-old niece when the latter flew with PAL.

Cuico claimed that her niece, who asked for warm water, was "badly burned" when she accidentally spilled on her arm the "scalding hot water" allegedly given by a flight attendant.

The airline company, Cuico said, "didn't bother [to] recognize what had happened" when the girl's parents reached out. The stewardess, on the other hand, apparently blamed the girl instead of owning up to her mistake.

The angry aunt, who insisted that "someone has to pay for this," asked her FB friends to share her post "for social awareness."

We are trying to reach PAL for comment. For the sake of balanced reporting, an update will be provided as soon as they give a word.
