Nora may kiss her throat operation goodbye

Veteran actress Nora Aunor may kiss her throat operation goodbye after she called for the resignation of President Benigno Aquino III on Tuesday.

The "Superstar," who's been sidelined from singing after her left vocal chords got damaged due to a botched cosmetic surgery in Japan years ago, plans to pursue her long-delayed throat operation in Boston City, Massachusetts, this year.

When Nora guested on ABS-CBN's showbiz-oriented talk show The Buzz late last month, she received a very kind offer from the hosts, "Asia's King of Talk" Boy Abunda and "The Queen of All Media" Kris Aquino, the President's sister.

During the live interview, Tito Boy promised to shoulder the doctors' fees while Krissy said she will take care of her air fare to and from the US. Nora apparently doubted and asked if everything was on record.

On March 17, Nora joined a rally organized by the militant group Migrante International, apparently adding star power to the clamor for President Aquino to step down, Inquirer.net reported.

The internationally acclaimed actress reportedly blamed PNoy for supposedly doing nothing to address issues regarding overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

"Tama na, sobra na, Noynoy mag-resign ka na (We’ve had enough, Noynoy. You should resign now)!" the 61-year-old "Superstar" said in her speech during the rally held outside MalacaƱang, which marked the 20th death anniversary of Flor Contemplacion, the Filipino domestic helper hanged in Singapore in 1995.

By doing it, one can probably say that Nora still holds bitterness in her heart. It can be recalled that the President refused to give her National Artist honors last year because of her 2005 drug case in the states.

Or maybe, she simply forgot the presidential sister's promise.
