Woman saves man's life through CPR (video)

An unidentified man suddenly collapsed while walking near a supermarket in Davao, then a hero came to the rescue and saved his life through CPR.

Facebook user Janine Babra Kangleon, who uploaded the video, said the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, in front of a vulcanizing shop, beside Savemore market in Bangkal, Davao City.

The man unexpectedly fell down the concrete pavement and became unconscious, she narrated.

Fortunately, a midwife passed by the area at the time. She quickly got off a passenger jeepney and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Some concerned citizens, including the Savemore security guard, helped.

Upong gaining consciousness, the man was rushed to the Sanitarium Hospital for treatment.

Janine said she believed that he suffered a suspected stroke because his face got slightly disfigured.

Netizens compared the Davao incident to a similar one that happened in Manila two days ago, where an old man who suffered a stroke was left dead on the roadside by a heartless jeepney driver.
