Mayweather signs contract for mega-fight with Pacquiao

Finally, undefeated American champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. has signed the contract for a mega-fight with Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

The pound-for-pound king posted Friday a photo of the signed contract on his Shots page.

"What the world has been waiting for has arrived," he said. "Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal."

"I promised the fans we would get this done, and we did. We will make history on May 2nd. Don't miss it! This is the signed contract from both fighters," he added.

Pacquiao's official announcement is expected to follow.

Mayweather (47 wins-0 loss) will face Pacquiao (57 wins-5 losses-2 draws) in the ring on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The long-awaited bout will be promoted by Top Rank and Mayweather Promotions. HBO, which counts Pacquiao in its boxing stable, and Showtime, which has Mayweather under contract, will broadcast the fight on pay-per-view, reported.

Other online sources said the fighters will split the purse 60/40 in favor of Mayweather, which means that if Pacman gets $100 million, Money will bag $150 million.

There's no official announcement on the price and availability of tickets yet, but Forbes estimates that it will likely to be priced between $1,000 and $5,000.
