BU students produce own semen for sperm-viewing activity

Biology students from the Bicol University College of Science produced their own semen for a sperm-viewing activity in a recent exhibit.

The exhibit, which concluded last February 18, was held as part of the event called "Biology Days 2015."

Students and guests were able to see the moving sperm cells under the microscope. Monitors were also mounted for a larger view of the live sperms.

According to an ABS-CBN News report, the students admitted that they learned a lot from the activity as it likewise featured a trivia and information booth where anything related to the human anatomy were explained.

Besides providing new knowledge, the activity also aimed to teach students the importance of life.

The biology class at Bicol University has been holding sperm-viewing activities since 2002, the report said.
