Taylor Swift responds to US cop's viral 'Shake It Off' video

American singer Taylor Swift has responded to a viral video featuring a US cop singing along to her song "Shake It Off" inside a police car.

The singer tweeted, "LOLOLOLOL THE SASS."

The video shows officer Jeff Davis, who has been in the service for 19 years, jamming to Swift's pop hit. It already garnered over 20 million views since it was published January 16 on YouTube.

"While reviewing dashcam footage, we found a video of something quite amusing," the Dover Police Department in Delaware said. "We decided we would share some with you in a new Web series called 'DashCam Confessionals.'"

While our first impression was that Davis must have forgotten that the dashboard camera was still on, it can be noticed that in the middle of the "performance," he gets serious and raises his right hand as if he was greeting some people on the road, yet no one was there.

Mark Hoffman, spokesman for Dover Police Department, told media that the music video was staged. Nevertheless, it's nice to see cops having fun after a long day's work and sharing their acting skills to make other people happy.

Good job!
