Customer Finds 'Worm in Kare-Kare' at Baliwag Lechon Manok ATBP

A disappointed customer posted online photos showing a worm in a kare-kare dish served at the Tutuban outlet of Baliwag Lechon Manok ATBP.

Marah Khristine Conwi narrated on Facebook that she and her mother ordered the Philippine stew for lunch at around 1 p.m. last Monday, December 22.

Because she was not able to have breakfast, the hungry young lady was craving for kare-kare and excited to eat. However, she lost her appetite when they noticed that there was a foreign object on their food—a worm—which, according to the crew, came from the vegetable.

What happened next was worse, the kare-kare was replaced with kaldereta that had a sour taste, Marah shared.

Instead of the manager, who was allegedly unavailable at the time, the security guard talked to her and the establishment eventually issued a refund.

Marah said she posted the photos of the "worm in kare-kare" to warn others.
