South Africa's Rolene Strauss was crowned as the 64th Miss World. Edina Kulcsár of Hungary and Elizabeth Safrit of the United States were declared first and second runners up, respectively.

The event was presented by last year's Miss World winner, Megan Young of the Philippines, and Tim Vincent. It was held on December 14, 2014 at ExCeL in London, United Kingdom, where the competition started 63 years ago.

For the first in the pageant's history, Miss World 2014 was streamed live on smartphones, tablets, and game consoles via the Miss World app and YouTube.
