Based on the report from the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QC-CIDU), the incident took place between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Agot's residence in Blue Ridge Subdivision, Barangay Blue Ridge in Quezon City last Saturday, December 6.

Investigation results revealed that her maid, Maenelyn Omapas, received a call from an unidentified woman, who said that the actress met an accident together with a rich Chinese named Allan Chua. After which the caller allegedly passed the phone to another woman who pretended to be Agot, who said she was not feeling well and needed to go home. However, before she can go home, she had to give Chua some money.

Omapas allegedly followed the suspect's instructions and looked for Agot's safety vault. When she found it, the housemaid grabbed the money as well as jewelries and put all of it in a bag, as instructed. She then took a taxi in going to the Wilcon Depot in Balintawak, Quezon City, where she met a woman who acted as secretary of the unidentified caller.

Omapas later realized that she was duped by a dugo-dugo gang after finding out that her boss was at the taping.

A deeper probe on the incident is underway, according to various reports.

In an interview aired on GMA-7's news program 24 Oras, Agot described the materials she lost as "all the blood, sweat, and tears that is now in the hands of very bad people."
