Raissa Robles: Binay told me in 2010 he had bought – not leased – the land for his piggery

Journalist-blogger Raissa Robles posted an audio recording of her exclusive interview with Vice President Jojo Binay over four years ago.

In a blog post on Monday, October 13, Robles revealed that during a one-on-one interview on June 29, 2010, the Vice President told her "he had bought" the land for his piggery business in Rosario, Batangas.

According to Robles, what Binay said during the taped interview "is the exact opposite" to the claim made by the Vice President and his legal counsel that he was only a "lessee" of the property used for JCB Farms from 1994 to 2010.

She said Binay categorically stated that he bought "around 10 hectares" of land for "30 pesos per square meter."

Here's Robles' interview with Binay in 2010, in which the Vice President answered questions pertaining to his "properties," "guns," "his being perceived a warlord," "plunder cases" and the issue about "coffins."
