As of 10 a.m., the weather agency said Bagyong Jose was spotted at 805 kilometers East of Calayan packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

It is forecast to move North Northwest at 13 kph. State forecasters said Typhoon Jose may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday.

Meanwhile, PAGASA issued a "Yellow" warning level for Bataan, Batangas and portions of Zambales. It said flooding in low-lying areas may still prevail over these areas due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will be affecting Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, and portions of Pampanga, Bulacan, Quezon and Rizal may persist within 3 hours, the weather bureau added.
