KFC hits Jollibee online with #ChickenSad tweet

KFC was apparently taking a swipe at Jollibee when it tweeted: “No such thing as #ChickenSad in the house of #SoGood” on Thursday.

ChickenSad KFC vs Jollibee

The hashtag became a trending topic on social media after fast food giant Jollibee Foods Corporation announced that some of its branches in Metro Manila and surrounding cities “are currently operating on a limited menu.”

On Twitter, customers expressed dismay over the shortage of fried chicken, spaghetti, and burger.

Harvey Ong, Jollibee vice president for marketing, told media that the problem is just temporary.

“We are committed to having all our products – including Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti and Yumburgers – available again in all our affected stores soonest,” he said, according to Inquirer.net.

So far, Jollibee has not responded to KFC's controversial #ChickenSad tweet.

While waiting for the reaction, let's take a look at the following video that shows their mascots having a dance showdown. This certainly takes the competition to another level.
