Jollibee stock shortage, limited menu, systems upgrade upset customers

Jollibee customers are upset as the fast food chain has stock shortage and is offering limited menu due to a major systems upgrade.

There have been numerous online complaints on social media regarding the unavailability of some of the store's menu items including the bestselling Chickenjoy.

The following are some of the consumer comments posted on Twitter these past days:

Jollibee's vice president for Marketing, Harvey Ong, told GMA News Online via email that some of their branches in Metro Manila and "surrounding cities" are offering a "limited menu" due to an "ongoing major systems upgrade" for their delivery service.

According to netizens, the problem also affected the company's other stores such as Chowking and Mang Inasal.

One commenter, who claimed that he comes from the poultry industry, posted that the prices of chicken at the farm gate now ranges from P95 to P100 per kilo.

The commenter also said he believes that the supply, which Jollibee imported from China for a cheaper price, has yet to arrive.
