Typhoon Inday News: July 23, 2014 Update

News about Typhoon Inday surfaced Wednesday, July 23, 2014 after the state weather bureau PAGASA spotted a new weather disburbance.

It will be named Bagyong Inday once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility, weather forecasters told media.

Meanwhile, PAGASA in its final bulletin says Henry (international name: Matmo) is now outside the PAR.

After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, it has weakened into a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of 40 kph as it moves Northwest at 20 kph.

Typhoon Inday will possibly enter the PAR on Friday or Saturday.

Earlier, the weather agency said Luzon and Western Visayas will experience monsoon rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the south to southwest over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough, PAGASA added.
