Sofitel Manila criticized online for UNTV ban

Sofitel, a five star hotel in Manila, has been slammed online for allegedly banning UNTV by removing it from the line-up of hotel TV channels.

Twitter users were abuzz Monday afternoon as the hashtag #NoToSofitel and the term UNTV became trending topics in the Philippines. The hashtag #BoycottSofitelPH also entered the trends box earlier.

It all started after the network's chairman and CEO, Daniel Razon, posted his sentiments against the establishment.

Sofitel Manila boycotted UNTV and excluded the public service network from its TV hotel programming, the post read.
