Famous vlogger and tech-reviewer Marques Brownlee claims he obtained the glass panel straight from the factory where iPhone 6 parts are assembled. He says it measures 4.7 inches in length and is as thin as a sheet of paper.

The internet personality describes the alleged iPhone 6 sapphire crystal glass panel as "an extremely high quality material" and "really durable". He came up with the conclusion after subjecting it to scratch and bend tests.

Brownlee bent the material with his hands in a forceful manner, used keys to scratch and even stabbed it with a very sharp knife, but he said there's no way he can break or at least put a mark on it.

Although he's done almost everything during the test, the tech host did not drop the glass for the reason that it is not attached to a device. But he showed how it will possibly look like on an iPhone.

If the alleged iPhone 6 sapphire crystal glass display turns out to be real, owners of future Apple devices will no longer need to buy a screen protector.
