Boston.com reports that a cook of Golden Corral named Brandon Huber uploaded the video on YouTube which shows raw meat and uncooked hamburger patties placed on trays next to a dumpster.

There were speculations that the food items near the dumpster, which had flies swarming around, were fed to customers.

“I’m an employee, I’ve been working here for a long time and I don’t think this is right,” said Huber, who reportedly claimed he already reported the improper practice at the Volusia County Health Department, but his complaints just fell on deaf ears.

The whistleblower decided to upload his ‘evidence’ material after some media outlets ignored his story. It immediately became a viral video.

Golden Corral suffered another blow when photos showing dirty dishes piling up near trash in its kitchen were posted on Reddit over the weekend.

After receiving negative comments over the internet, they released an official statement regarding the so called ‘Golden Corral dumpster’ issue.

“A video was recently posted showing an incident of improper food handling at our Port Orange, Florida location. None of these items were served to a single customer. All were destroyed within the hour at the direction of management,” the restaurant stated. “The manager involved in the improper storage was terminated for failing to follow approved food handling procedures.”
