Bagyong Huaning (Typhoon Huaning) has maintained its strength as it continues to move in a west-northwest direction, PAGASA reports.

The state weather bureau said that as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, Huaning was estimated at 1,150 kilometers East of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of 210 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph.

Weather experts said the estimated rainfall amount is from 10 to 25 millimeters per hour (heavy to intense) within the 800 km diameter of Typhoon Huaning.
