Philippines vs Singapore, November 15, 2012 game result: Azkals win FIFA friendly

The Philippine national football team Azkals defeated Singapore, 1-0, in their FIFA International Friendly held in Cebu City on November 15, 2012.

At the 54th minute, Azkal Marwin Angeles struck a goal off the pass from Patrick Reichelt made possible by an assist from Phil Younghusband. Sportcasters noted it was Angeles’ first international goal.

The nationals launched an attack and attempted to score in the 78th minute but failed.

Singapore got a free kick at the 86th minute after Joshua Beloya received a yellow card for a tackle. The supposed equalizer didn’t come as Azkals goalkeeper Eduard Sacapano denied the free kick on the mid-left side of the goal.

Azkal sub Ian Araneta almost added another goal at the 94th minute but his attempt was ruled offside.
