In his privilege speech, Trillanes said he has lost confidence in the leadership of Enrile. Trillanes also said he is withrawing as a member of the majority.
Trillanes walked out of the session hall while Enrile was reading the supposed notes of Philippine Ambassador to China Sonia Brady during her meeting with Trillanes.
According to Enrile, Trillanes called foreign affairs secretary Albert del Rosario a traitor and cited lack of support from the US on maritime dispute, particularly on the issue on Scarborough Shoal and the West Philippine Sea.
Trillanes, Enrile said, has been secretly and silently meeting with the Chinese government for sixteen times.
Enrile called Trillanes “a fraud.” Earlier, Trillanes called Enrile “a coward.”
In an interview on primetime news program TV Patrol, Trillanes admitted he had a meeting with Chinese government officials about fifteen times here and abroad.
