USA beats Tunisia (2012 London Olympics Men's Basketball)

Team USA capitalized on depth to defeat Tunisia, 110-63, at the 2012 London Olympics men’s basketball competition on Tuesday night, July 31.

Six players of the American team reached double-digits and all 12 in the roster scored, with 80 of the 110 points contributed by its reserves.

Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony had 16 points apiece while Kevin Durant finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Anthony Davis was perfect from the field, all 5 of his shots were alley-oops, plus 2 free throws for a total of 12 points. Russell Westbrook and James Harden added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

USA forced the Tunisian squad to commit 19 turnovers which were converted into 36 points by the NBA-star-studded team. USA outrebounded the opponent, 44-31.

The Americans will meet the Nigerians on August 2 at 10:15 p.m. (5:15 p.m. EDT) for another game in the preliminary round.
