PAGASA Weather Forecast August 8, 2012

The Southwest Monsoon is still affecting Luzon and Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA reported on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.

PAGASA in its latest weather update said Luzon including Metro Manila will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over the western section of Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

The weather agency said Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail throughout the country and the coast waters will be moderate to rough.

As of today, weather experts said there is no typhoon or storm existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but the Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm “Haikui” spotted near Taiwan will continue to rains over Luzon.
