Aquino’s SONA longer and in Tagalog

Expect that President Benigno Aquino III’s third State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 23, 2012, will be longer and delivered in Filipino.

In a press briefing, presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda revealed that President Aquino is ready for his SONA at the Batasang Pambansa.

He’s good to go,” Lacierda told members of the media.

He added that the President will address the nation using the national language, with visual aid, to deliver his message to the citizenry much clearer.

The speech, which went through eight revisions, is “longer than usual,” according to Lacierda.
