Shalani Soledad’s wedding gift from President Aquino ready

Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad, who is set to marry Pasig representative Roman Romulo, will be receiving a gift from her former boyfriend, President Benigno Aquino III, come wedding day.
In an interview earlier, President Aquino said his staff bought the gift.
“Perhaps they bought a gift already by now. I admit I haven’t been to the bridal registry,” Aquino said, although he has not yet received a formal invitation.
The President said he hopes that the couple will live happily and can have children whom people can rely on.
“What is the message? The emphasis has always been to strengthen the family. We believe that a lot of the solutions to the problems of the country will be best addressed by a family that is strong, united and caring to the children that they bring,” he stated.

Soledad and Romulo will tie the knot at the St. Benedict Church in Silang, Cavite on January 22. The latter earlier told the media that the ceremony will be simple and solemn.
Meanwhile, President Aquino said he cannot confirm attendance to the wedding due to a busy schedule.
